In order to request a taxi service it is recommended that you board only the ones available in “Centros de Acopio” (taxi gathering centers) or call any one of the following telephone numbers within the Metropolitan Area: 444 4444, 444 1111, 444 0000, 444 5555, and to the airport: 235 7171 ó 235 7676.
In the city of Medellin, taxis run on prices regulated by taximeter. It is recommended to request the drivers to turn the taximeter on at the moment of initiating the trip and paying only what it indicates.

  • Metro: The Metro Station closest to the venue of the event is “Exposiciones.”
  • Bus: Attendees to the trade show can board bus services running up and down the following roads: AvenidaFerrocarril, Calle San Juan, and Avenida 33. It is recommended that you consult your route needs previously in order to receive advice and avoid getting lost. Such consultations can be done at the General Secretarial office of the event.

What to wear in Medellin?

As the weather of the city remains fairly steady throughout the year, wearing cool cotton clothing is recommended. If you take trips to nearby municipalities, the weather there varies and it is recommended that you carry warm clothing. Informal clothing is well regarded. If you go out to visit touristic places, wearing comfortable clothing and shoes is recommended. For restaurants, wearing a tie by men is not obligatory. To attend special events, formal attire should be worn.
